During our preseason workouts and our in-season competition, the Dawgs organization is always looking to acknowledge our players for acting or playing in a way that embodies our mission and core values.
One of the ways that we award our players for “Embracing the Standard” and exemplifying our vision for the development of outstanding players and young men is through our “Dawg of the Week” belt award. This award is intended to be awarded each week the team has tournaments and a regular basis through off-season activities. The “Dawg of the Week” award is voted on by our coaches and our staff after consideration of the most recent tournament or off-season period. To win the award, the player must “Embrace the Standard” by exhibiting the traits and values that are core to the Dawgs organization, including leadership, accountability, excellence determination and a winning attitude. Caden Earns the First Ever Top Dawg Player of the Week Award!
Caden crushes a double on March 1st at Premier Baseball of Texas
Caden loves to work hard and is always willing to put in the work at practice, at lessons and off the field. He has put great effort into becoming a strong outfielder and continues to develop a very strong bat.
We are so happy to have Caden in our organization, he is not only a great kid, but he is a leader by example in terms of his effort, attitude and determination to get better. Keep working Caden, we are so excited about you as a player and a young man!! The Fox Takes Home the 1st Belt for the 11U!
Tyler won the Dawg of the Week for the 11Us first tournament at Big League Dreams on February 8th and 9th. The Dawgs finished third in the first weekend and this finish was directly impacted by Tyler.
For the weekend, Tyler pitched a total of 5 innings, including a 4 inning complete game to secure a win in Sunday’s bracket play. In that game Tyler, held the Gulf Coast Scrappers to 2 runs (I earned) only allowing 3 hits, struck out three and allowed zero walks. At the plate, Tyler also added 4 RBIs on the weekend. Tyler received the award because of his excellence on the mound and the winning attitude, he displayed the weekend.

Tyler is another one of those quiet leaders by example on the Dawgs. Tyler is a very talented player and is a lock down stud on the mound, but best of all Tyler is a good teammate and very coachable. Great job, Tyler, we are so glad you are a Dawg!!
