Texas Dawgs Baseball
We are extremely pleased and excited to announce that both Edge Baseball and the Texas Dawgs will be combining under the umbrella of Texas Dawgs Baseball, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit select baseball organization. The combination will enhance the strengths of both organizations and create the premiere option for baseball players from age 8-18 in the greater Katy, Fulshear, Richmond and West Houston areas.
The new organization will allow players not only to take full advantage of TD Sports Academy for exceptional training opportunities but will also allow for the athletes to have access to the full suite of data driven analytic training tools, currently available to Edge players, including the use of Rapsodo technology. In connection, with this combination, Rob Kerrigan will remain as the Chairman and President of the 501(c)(3) and Travis Bailey will assume the role of Head of Baseball Operations and will lead all aspects of baseball administration. Beginning with the fall 2022 season, teams from 8U - 13U will compete under the name of the Texas Dawgs and teams from 14U - 18U will compete under the name of Edge Baseball. In the coming weeks, we will be providing much more information about our leadership team, coaches and plans for fall, including information about tryouts. In the meantime, we will remain focused on all teams finishing their spring season and world series events and conducting our normal season ending activities and reviews. ![]() Be a Top Dawg Today! ![]() The Texas Dawgs March Madness fundraiser is now active!! We have established this pool in order to (i) raise funds for our teams to help off-set World Series and team costs; and (ii) have some fun with March Madness. The cost for entry is $12 for 1 bracket or $30 for 3. You can enter as many brackets as you want and we encourage you to do so. We will treat this pool similar to our Super Bowl square pools with winnings split between the team, the pool winners and administrative costs. Exact pay-outs will be determined base on the number of brackets submitted. We will award winnings to the top 3 finishers and have a special prize for the person who finishes with the least points in the bracket! Register Your Bracket: The link to register is below. If you are sharing the link by text, there is a chance that the direct link to our pools may break. If it does, the pool ID and password are: Pool ID: 132210 Password: Dawgs2021! A Brief Reminder: Get your bracket(s) in before the pick deadline, which is Thursday, March 19th at 11:15 (CST) and make sure to review the pool settings. Only the main 64 teams that make up a standard bracket are included (i.e. the play-in games, or 'first four', are NOT included). Good luck to everyone. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@texasdawgsbaseball.org. ![]() Thanks again for supporting us on the NCAA Playoffs. Now it's time to focus on the Big Game! Each square will cost $20 and we will apply the total funds 60% to the Dawgs and 40% to prize money. The prize money for each pool will be $800 total with $200 for each quarter ($150 for a forward winner and $50 for the backward winner). The remaining $1,200 per pool will go the Dawgs less the cost of the web site to operate the pools. We will advise on totals at the end of the pools and discuss the best way to apply the proceeds (whether it be towards world series costs, new team uniforms, etc.). These pools represent not only a fun way to be involved in the games, but also a way to help fundraising for the Dawgs. *** Important Instructions ***

Thanks in advance for supporting the Dawgs and remember these games will be a meaningful piece to off-setting costs of spring and World Series trips. Lets see how many we can finish!!! ![]() On the weekend of December 5th and 6th, the Dawgs placed 3 teams in the Katy National Little League Toys for Tots event. The Dawgs, in furtherance of one of their core principles to support the communities in which they play, were very happy to support KNLL and the Texas Children's Hospital in such a great cause. Three Dawgs' teams played and all three made the championship game of their respective tournament pool. Our 11U Navy and 11U Gold brought home the championship of their pool and our 13U came up just short in the finals. Overall the organization went 9-3, with the 11U Navy leading the way with a 4-0 weekend. Outstanding work by our players and coaches, we are so very proud of all of them showing their best on the field and also off the field by supporting this great cause. The 12U Navy and 12U Gold were set to play the following weekend of the 12th and 13th but heavy rains cancelled the tournament. ![]() Thanks again for supporting us on the first sets of squares for the NCAA Playoffs. We are starting our second set for the Championship Game of Ohio State vs. Alabama. We are again setting a goal of finishing 3 for this set and then 3 for the Super Bowl. Last year, we were able to complete 6 total pools for the NCAA championship game and the Superbowl with 2 teams, now with 8, we will be hopeful of completing at least a few more. These pools represent not only a fun way to be involved in the games, but also a way to help fundraising for the Dawgs. *** Important Instructions ***

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Texas Dawgs. We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and is looking forward to starting our Spring 2021 baseball season just after the New Year.
While 2020 has been regrettable in so many ways, the Dawgs were lucky enough to have an outstanding inaugural year. We are so humbled by the positive response from so many to our organization and can’t believe in one year we have gone from 2 to 8 teams. This growth will not change, but will only enhance our efforts at player development on and off the field, communication and transparency. We are very excited about what 2021 will bring for the Dawgs organization both on and off the field, including the opening of TD Sports Academy the Dawgs indoor/outdoor training facility home in February. More info on that in the coming weeks, but needless to say we are getting very excited about it. We are so very appreciative and thankful for all of our coaches, players and families and everyone that has helped us launch and make this organization special. We believe it is the people and families involved that create the environment and culture that make people want to join the Dawgs. Hoping this holiday season brings our Dawgs family a time of peace, joy and rest. Please try to trade time from our crazy world to enjoy family and friends, even if it is virtually because of the virus. We hope everyone can take time to remember special times of the past, make new memories and look forward to what is to come in the New Year, especially Dawgs baseball. Bring it on 2021, the Dawgs are ready. Our theme for the new year is “Culture Matters” and you will be seeing that on our 2021 season t-shirt we will unveil next week.

Let the 12U Navy vs. 12U Gold Texas Dawgs Holiday Classic Game begin!
Inning number 2 was the only inning that saw no scoring thanks to solid pitching from Dante and Chase and some solid defense. The Gold flashed some leather up the middle with a 6-4-3 double play with Brody and Jayden making slick turns in the middle (video).

In the bottom of the 2nd, Zac had a key throwdown (video) to 2nd base to catch the runner from stealing to stop any idea of a rally.

The Navy was able to scrape together another run in the top of the 3rd inning with Liam giving them a 5-0 lead by scoring on a wild pitch. In the bottom of the 3rd inning with the Gold needing a bit hit to get back into the game, Brady came up with the bases loaded and smashed a grand slam deep into the night (video) to put the Gold right back into the game. So, after 3 innings, it was 5-4 Navy.

The Gold got a scoreless frame in the top of the fifth with Weston retiring the side in order and setting them up for a chance in the bottom of the 5th. The Gold got their first two men on, but Noah retired the next two hitters leaving it up to Dante. With 2 outs and Brady and Brody on second and third, Dante drove a 2 strike pitch (video) into the left-center gap to plate both Dawgs and tie the game at 6, which is how the score ended.

What a great way to end the fall season for both teams. We’ll see you back on the diamond in 2021! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!
